The last two bug fixes are important for people running a multilanguage l10n_server. Otherwise there was no release for some time, so it was just time to roll one.

Changes since DRUPAL-5--1-0-ALPHA2:

  • No need to shout in red as pointed out in #183714 by fajerstarter
  • Doh, accidentally committed install patch
  • #201828 by tomdeb: taxonomy was a dependency, now optional
  • #201841 reported by hass: do not push myisam on users
  • #202637 report by Psicomante, patch by myself: suggestion numbers were not displayed
  • #201660 by myself and hass: default values for fields in the translation table we are not always filling
  • #201846 suggestion by hass: align language names left
  • #202661 requested by pvasili, implemented by myself: allow server admins to decide on the number of projects shown of project overview pages (consolidating admin pages at the same time, now that we have a root)
  • #203422 suggestion by meba, implementation by myself: identify fuzzy marked translations and import them as suggestions in all cases (also removes an unused line)
  • #203119 /5 report by meba: editing of suggestions is not possible, this icon allows you to copy over text to the edit field
  • #203119 /1 reported by meba: title was missing from 'has suggestion' marker icon
  • Another batch of hopefully exciting but probably debated updates:
    - Down with the icons, hah. There are nice Unicode dingbats we can use, and we can color then however we want, even dynamically, as their role changes.
    - Fixed suggestion copying, which did not work due to an index check problem.
    - Implemented the suggestion decline feature, so suggestions can be declined one by one.
    - Got rid of the 'Expand' function as it was just a superfluos UI element, as the edit buttons are much more to the point on the original string, the suggestions and translations.
  • #203465 by meba and myself: do not ever import empty translations/suggestions
  • Suggestion counts were improperly displayed on the language explore page, noticed myself.
  • Remove top-pprojects logic and display, as it was noted that in a language, the ten top projects will be 100% readyanyway, so this gives no info. Add language status overview numbers instead.
  • #201708 reported by hass, patch by myself: postgresql requires single quotes around strings.
  • Overcome safe mode warning
  • #203628 report by hass, patch by myself: project explorer had bad status percentages
  • #203680 by keith.smith: better help texts and typos fixed; I also noticed bad links in help text
  • Update README with information on the current module structure and behavior.
Also includes dingbat font explanation by keith.smith from #203866
  • #203866 follow up by keith.smith: spelling fixes in the README
  • #203840 by meba: plural suggestions were not properly escaped in the ajax callback
  • #203814 by meba, slightly modified: move toolbox buttons back to the left, add a messagebox to the right
  • #204418 by keith.smith: spacing cleanup with coder module
  • Shaving a considerable amount of cruft from the text buttons here, fixing margins as well. Should look the same as before, no visual change done.
    Implemented while writing http://hojtsy.hu/blog/2007-dec-28/experimenting-unicode-buttons
  • Jose A Reyero noted that there should be a base permission to be able to hide everything from the public if need be. I also noticed an extra function which is not required and can be factored out with some code reuse.
  • Bad function name
  • Although this was secure as it was, I built-in another layer of safety here just to make sure we never ever open a security hole here
  • #207390 reported by bwynants, fix by myself: source line occurances were not checked properly
  • Better export formats (reported in #193097, solution by myself, based on potx):
    - all-in-one export format for exporting standalone .po(t) files without compression
    - flat-package export format for exporting to CVS commit (until we abandon CVS for translations)
    - improved drupal-5 and drupal-6 formats, collapsing file names for smaller number of .po files
  • Only update a revision if it is different
  • #209517 report by Sutharsan, solution by myself: installer strings were not properly identified and exported;
    - store string type (runtime, installer, both) in a type field on file-line-string associations
    - included update path for existing sites
(but they still need to rescan everything unfortunately)
    - on export, unless the all-in-one format is used, output installer only strings to installer.po and output installer and runtime strings to installer.po as well
    - obey flat mode and some special handling for core file placement as well
  • Bleh, so late night here. We can do this type elevation much simpler.
  • Whitespace
  • #208771 request by pvasili, implementation by myself: more granular setup for number of projects scanned, >20 is irrealistic, so getting rid of that
  • follow up to #209517, noted by Sutharsan: the installer file was not put in the right po_folder
  • a quick and temporary hack for #212594 so that translators can export their translations in the format which works with Drupal 6
  • Typo in Drupal core export exception list
  • #225436 by rak: approving a suggestion on the AJAX interface made all other suggestions in other languages disappear (critical)
  • #225436 follow up by myself: language limitations were also missing in the decline AJAX function
