I can't get project to work. Issues can be submitted but you can't see the actual projects. On top of that, when you click on 'status options' you get a blank page.

Your project has to have a release to be pushed live. Use settings>project and specify a release folder. Place a zip or tar.gz file in there that reads PROJECTNAME-1.2.3.ext then go back to settings>project and scan for releases. You should see it then.

Now we are getting somewhere! I apologize if I should have known this from the documentation. I must have overlooked it.

Anyway, I believe I understand what you are say but I still can get it to work. Here is what I have done:

1. Created a project called 'test'.
2. Uploaded a zip file to my project directory called 'test-1.0.zip'.
3. Scanned for releases and got the message that the scan was successful but there was nothing on the list.
4. Checked the project page and there was nothing under the tab the project was categorized under.

I have done various permutations of these steps using different project names, file name combinations, etc. Is there anything else I might be missing?

Thanks Very Much

I'm getting precisely the same issue with Projects, regardless of whether I have "Unmoderate projects with releases" checked or not. The "status options" screen still comes up with a blank page without any errors logged, the project index page is hasn't any projects, and the project module help and documenttaion.

For example, where do I place the "releases" directory? In the root of the drupal application, in the files directory or in the project module directory? Why should I have to make a release to publish my project when I have the feature disabled and I can manually publish a project through the content administration screen?

I have submitted patches for this issue and the lack of output from the release scan feature. See here:

http://drupal.org/node/29061

I suggest user's apply the latest patches to their working copies of the 4.6.0 version of the project module in the meantime. This should hopefully fix most of the problems with the project module.
