Hostmaster is a number of things, primarily it is an install profile that ties together the functionality of the Hosting and Provisioning frameworks, but it is also the collective name for the entire Hostmaster system.

About Hostmaster

The Hostmaster system is a modular, extensible site instance manager, that allows you to manage many Drupal sites through it's Drupal based user interface. New sites are created simply by creating a new Site node. New services and features can be enabled by simply adding new modules to the system.

More information is available on our Project Goals and Overview pages on groups.drupal.org/hm2.

About this release

This alpha release features an entirely new installation wizard, with a contextual help framework that adjusts itself based on your configuration. This release will allow you to deploy, disable, enable, delete, backup and restore sites to a previous backup. Hostmaster will now also recognize sites you already have installed and import them to be managed. Numerous user interface and documentation improvements have also been made and all known critical bugs have been fixed.

More information can be found on the Project Roadmap wiki page.

Not in this release:

The primary feature missing is support for multiple install profiles, and more work needs to be done on installation, documentation and user experience. This release is not production ready, so please do not install it outside of a testing environment.

Bugs Fixed:
#239636 - Contact name" and author always reset to "Administrator

Hostmaster was developed by Bryght / Raincity Studios and partners.
