Just downloaded the module, and the .info file is missing, so there is no way to activate it on the modules screen

oh, and I guess the current tar not having a .module file would also be a problem

i hope the module-maintainer adds the two missing files because this module would help me much...

The missing files (publishcontent.info and publishcontent.module) are available under the CVS head.

But after pulling those, the module still doesn't work.

Couple of obvious errors, that I tried to fix in the .module file were -

- Changing the field name from "unpublished" to private in the publishcontent_nodeapi() function.
- Changing the field name from unpublished to private in the publishcontent_node_access_records() function.

But it seems, it needs more fixing.

Also attaching the updated zip file of the module.
