I'm wondering if this module is being maintained actively - from what I can see, the maintainers haven't replying to issues for the past few months or so, and the last commit was in October 2007, despite there being a number of patches in the queue.
According to the drupal policy on "Dealing with abandoned projects" (http://drupal.org/node/251466), if I don't hear anything after two weeks I will move the issue to the webmasters' queue (drupal.org Webmasters).
As someone with a patch in the queue, I would be willing to become a co-maintainer if the current maintainers would like some help, but as I'm quite busy, I would be even happier if others are willing to do the work!

jonathan_hunt commentedI'm using this module on several sites. It would be good to see some progress on some of the patches and suggestions. I'll help out as time allows.

egfrith commentedHello Jonathan,
thanks for you offer to help out. Would you like to be a co-maintainer? If not, there are still things that could be done without CVS access, such as looking through the issue queue for duplicates or stale bugs -- a number of issues are still against the 4.7.x versions of the module. And it would be good to have patch reviews too.
David.

egfrith commentedAs per the "abandoned modules" instructions, I'm moving this issue to the webmasters queue.
As there have been no other definite offers, I would like to be a comaintainer on this module:

Please apply for a CVS account at http://drupal.org/node/59
When doing so please quote this issue (http://drupal.org/node/297381) in your motivation message

egfrith commentedThanks for the response. I'm going to have to spend some time reading the pages on how to write secure code before I apply for the CVS account, but I'll post to this thread once I have.
