Hi, I just launched the new site of Belgian ensemble Encantar.

Encantar is a Belgian classical music ensemble. Their goal was to provide listeners and fans with an up to date concert agenda, pictures and interaction (now via a blog).

A custom design was made. The goal there was to make the structure as simple as possible. You have the menu and the content area. At the right you have a teaser area of info that is additional but not required.

A lot of custom jQuery code was prepared to enable the slideshow, the concert agenda scroller, the form element focus animation, the Shadowbox modification and the "full hovers" in the links, concerts, ... section (= if you hover over the title, the "more info" link also gets hovered).

A custom Drupal theme was made from this design. Extra care was taken to ensure xhtml valdiation. The only module that was a bit of a trouble chilc was the Google Client Geocoder module.

All images and other files are managed using the Asset module (http://www.drupal.org/project/asset). This way, images from the galleries can be reused all over the site.

The whole site is driven bij CCK and views (and the custom theme).

For the galleries, simply taxonomy/term was used. Remark! The views version was used. So this could be themed better and the depth of the search was easily configurable. The shadowbox module (http://drupal.org/project/shadowbox) was NOT used here, because I wanted Shadowbox to work with pagination. Check it out!!!

For the concert agenda CCK and views were used. For dates the Date (http://drupal.org/project/date) module was used. For addresses and maps, the Google Client Geocoder was used (http://drupal.org/project/gcg). GCG isn't the best module regarding usability, but it really works without a hiccup. The only issue I found in it, is that on overview pages it does too much drupal_set_head 's.

To conclude: Newsletter is just Simplenews (http://drupal.org/project/simplenews) and Contact is just a webform (http://drupal.org/project/webform).
