Hello.
I run a website called Queer Women Ottawa and one of my members was kind enough to make a new theme design for the "new version" of the site that I have been working on behind the scenes. It's an interesting design, and it's certainly different.
The only thing is QWO runs on drupal (the newest version) and I'm not sure how this design can translate into XHTML, CSS, and graphics to work with Drupal. Any thoughts on how this could be coded to work with drupal? Also, crits are welcome (I will pass them on to the gal who designed this).
She made them look like they are in a browser but they are just graphics.

I guess my question was unclear. The links are to an image that a designer put together for me of a possible design. It has not be coded yet at all. I'm posting to ask about how I could do the angled menu she designed. Said angled menu would be the primary links from drupal.
Any thoughts?

turning a comp into an html/css theme is really not a topic for this forum. If you know how to make themes, the first step is to make a regular html/css theme from the comp. Once you've done that, the links we provide show you how to turn the html/css theme into a drupal one.

Hey WorldFallz
I just made a request that we do a book page with these links in it, the ones I posted and the ones you posted also (i think the 3rd one you posted is the same as one I posted).
Seems we get a lot of questions like this so I think I would be good if we could just point everyone to one bookpage with all these links (and more, such as the drupaldojo stuff - theming like a pro etc)

excellent idea but i don't think it will necessarily cut down on the questions in the forum-- that would require people to actually look for documentation or search, lol.

Seems people are confused, the images I liked are just images not existing designs. The designer just made it look like it was being viewed in a browser for appearances sake I guess.
I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how to do the angled menu she designed in the image ... it would be very helpful. That angled menu would be the primary menu from drupal.

You say multiple times you know how to make themes... there's no magic for taking a comp and creating a drupal theme. A drupal theme is just a standard html/css theme with some php to fill in the dynamic data.
So again i say turn the comp into a regular html/css theme and then examine the links we provided (i found the "quick and dirty" link i provided to be very helpful in understanding that process) to turn your html/css theme into a drupal one.
The majority of the work will be converting the comp into a standard theme, once you've done that adding the drupal bits is quite straightforward.
