I may be over looking something but is there a way to organize the order in which images in a gallery are displayed?. Such as a simple weight? Also is there a way to tag the image you want to use for the thumbnail image of the entire gallery?

http://drupal.org/node/317902 achieves it for Drupal 5 Image/Image_gallery by using the Nodeorder module, but will need updating for '6.

Nodeorder is not yet available as a release for '6, but there is a patch at http://drupal.org/node/252431#comment-1002582 awaiting testing.
