Hello,

Does anyone know what would stop me from moving a block out of the "Disabled" region?

Is this the right place to ask this question?

Cheers, N

You can either drag it to a new region or change the drop down. That is how blocks are enabled.

it is much better when you have additional questions or you want to elaborate on your issue to comment on your original post.

Here's the deal in a nutshell, was this problem apparent on a new install before you threw modules at it?

do you have a test site? if so is it happening there as well? if you don't, create one. Add the modules you are using to the test site one by one, when does the problem first rear its head?

Thanks for your replies...

I don't think I tried to move blocks before I installed custom modules.

This site is, kind of, my test site using D 6.8, but I will create another with a fresh 6.9 version.

I was hoping someone might know if using a certain module conflicts with block moving.

I also created a menu and I can't even move that to a region either so it's not just View Blocks.

If I create a new 'simple' Block from scratch and add "test" to the body I can move that to a different region.

fingers crossed someone else has had this and solved it :)

when you say "can't move it" do you mean it physically won't move? or it will move but not stay? I ask because after reading your threads there seems to be conflicting statements.

after you physically move the block, you have to save the form. You are doing so yes?

Yeah sorry... that may not have been clear,

I 'can' move it by dragging it or changing the dropdown to the region but when I save it and the screen is refreshed, the block is back in the disabled region.

odd isn't it... :(

Thanks, N
