This sounds like an interesting add-on. Is there a reason you didn't put it as part of the main weblinks package?

It's not finished, and it could cause a fair amount of overhead in getting and scanning the contents of the page. That's why I was working it as an add-on. Ot could be part of the base module when it's ready (well, actually, using the menu "file" parameter, it may still be an "extra").
