Please add filipino to ldo.
Project: http://drupal.org/project/fil
l10server: http://pili.pin.as/translations (not very active, blut slowly translating..easy to move)
offtopic: and please help commit the filipino-related http://drupal.org/node/385296 :-)

Question. What are we gonna do with the translation project pages here on d.o.? I am the maintainer of Norwegian Bokmål, Norwegian Nynorsk, and Filipino projects here on d.o. We have moved nb and nn already to ldo and now i'm requesting fil to be moved... so what am i gonna do with their project pages? Just wondering what's the plan here :-) In the meantime, i'll edit the pages to have links to ldo.

Also, I am interested involunteering myself to help in administrative tasks in l.do. if you still need help :-)

Thanks.

John

The project page is supposed to stay, so you can even receive issues. So are you ready to migrate the whole translation server and turn that off?

We're ready to migrate. I think it'll be good for us (with regards to contributions) if fil is on l.d.o. Thanks!

Created team at http://localize.drupal.org/languages/fil (looked up language code and did not find anything better)

Please expect that there might be bumps in the service. You are among the beta-tester of this live instance. Thanks for helping out and please report issues as you find them! Your team members can now join and help import existing translations and work on more translations.

Also note that I've set this up so that it uses a controlled model (that group admins moderate translations). If you'd rather work in an open model (that everyone can directly submit translations), that is up to you and you can edit your group node to reconfigure anytime.

Consequently, I've also removed the listing of the existing server at http://drupal.org/project/l10n_server so please do import the translations yourself and shut down that server as discussed.

Also, I've found and used the plural form at http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/l10n/pluralforms. Please notify me if you need a native language name different to Filipino, I did not find out whether we'd need one.

Welcome on board!

Yeah. Filipino does not have an ISO 639-1 code but has 639-2 and 639-3 code which is FIL.

We've actually been using the plural form "nplurals=2; plural=(n != 1)" like English on our old translation server. The plural form suggested at translate.sourceforge.net may be more appropriate. I will test it and give feedback if necessary.

Please notify me if you need a native language name different to Filipino, I did not find out whether we'd need one.
Nope, we don't need one. Filipino's native language name is also Filipino.

Thanks Gábor!

As a side note: Since FIL is now on d.o #447084: Please add the official language of the Philippines in the profile language selector. and is now on l.d.o, It would be great (and I am hoping) if we have FIL natively on D7 core #385296: Standardize the language selector for the Philippine language..
