Best Video Module to Recommend Please?

Hello,

I have a full-blown website for which I need to update with video media with the objectives to make it more attractive, more animated and, of course more efficient to pass the message (marketing, bragging the site, storytelling...). I would appreciate it very much if you could by any chance make suggestions, recommendations about a good, reliable and cool video module for this. The good thing for now is, I don't yet have a particular idea of how this will be in terms of whether the member can post video or only the site admin does it; whether it is a flash framed video or a video gallery. However, I really prefer to have a video gallery with the thumbnail men u at the bottom of the panel, while the upper portion is the video playing... Many many thanks in advance, huj

Embeded Media Field

You might want to take a look at the Embedded Media Field project.

It's a CCK addon that has submodules for handling various types of media. With it you could create a Flash Video content type and add a Embedded Video Field to it (along with a description text area, content taxonomy to classify the video), then give a suitable role of users the permision to create instances of the content type.

A user sees a video on Vimeo, YouTube etc they would like to share, they create a Flash Video node on your site, by giving it a name, posting the link to the video into the Video field, give it a tag and then a description.

Then with Views you could set up a video gallery or a block with the latest uploaded videos etc. Add Lightbox2 for a bit extra pizazz (the video can appear as a small thumbnail which when the user clicks upon opens up with the lightbox effect full size).

Edit: Just to add Views Slideshow and some of its addon modules might give the gallery effect you're after.
