To circumvent this problem, I want to transform the module to work as a filter instead of hacking nodes directly. This will enable the functionality in blocks and allow for a new "secure" release. (i.e. as secure as the Full HTML filter.)

It has been abandoned so I am accelerating the issue from the jsmath queue to the Drupal webmasters queue.
I propose to solve the security issue by changing the module to work as
witha filter. This will be as secure as the Full HTML filter.Thank you.

avpadernoSuch support requests are kept in the project issue queue for two weeks; the title was not the correct one as per procedure to follow to deal with abandoned projects.
I will send a message to the current maintainer later.

The authors have not touched the module for over 1 year... I don't think they want to maintain it, which is why I posted here directly. Although I'm not too sure why the module was not marked as abandoned.

heine commentedIt's been done already, but in the future, I don't think we should grant project maintainership to somene violating the Drupal license (http://www.m2osw.com/mo_references_view/mo_autoaddterms/index.html#license)
