A Drupal module that allows donations via Paypal to buy beer, coffee, tea, water or whatever. The module is heavily inspired by Ankesh Kothari's Buy Me a Beer Wordpress plugin.
In the admin settings of the module you need to set an e-mail address which can be used to receive Paypal donations. Obviously you need a Paypal account for using this module. You can also set the node types to display the link, enter the anchor text and the title attribute of the link. No database tables need to be installed.
Buy Me a Beer is a very simple module and is supposed to stay simple. If you look for a donations module with more options have a look at the Donation module.
Buy Me a Beer requires no additional 3rd party modules to be installed. Cheers!
Drupal 7 Port
There were two efforts to port version 1 and version 2 of this module to Drupal 7. The code needs to be reviewed and updated to the latest feature set. Any help is very much appreciated.
Improved code for version 1 is available for download as 7.x-1.0-beta2 which is fairly stable and works.
