This module now handles automatically adding all contacts related to a contact that is registered for an event to a group. This can be useful to send emails to groups of students and parents.
Most of the original functionality of this module was merged with CiviCRM Certify. On it's own, CiviCRM Certify will add users to Certification groups when someone with permission to change an event participant's status makes a change like Registered -> Attended. The functionality that automatically "passes" students X hours after an event can now be added to CiviCRM Certify using CiviCRM Event Auto Pass
