Open Academy brings the best in web publishing for higher education on a customizable Drupal platform. We’ve distilled Chapter Three’s longtime work with leading universities such as Stanford, Berkeley, NYU, USC and UCSF into a flexible, extendable package that lets university departments run fully functional, polished websites straight out of the box.
We developed critical features for handling courses, research publications and presentations, departmental news, faculty profiles, events and more — all on top of a cleanly extendable Drupal 7 installation profile with a Features-based, Kit-compliant functionality and a well documented starter theme.
Departments manage all this through a state-of-the-art administrative dashboard, WYSIWYG editing, and drag-and-drop page layout. Open Academy is built entirely with Panels as a best practice representation, using the In-Place-Editor, pane-level fields override, style plugins, layout-aware pane displays and much more.
If you want to try Open Academy, here are a few ways to make that happen:
- Try on Pantheon - Open Academy is free to try on Pantheon using the one click Drupal distribution installer. Sign up for a free account to try on Pantheon.
