Hi,

I have an issue, need you to help to resolve it.

My hosting is using PHP4 and Mysql5 and now i have backup my website in my localhost machine in PHP5 and Mysql5.
I have browsed it seemts that it is working well , but the problem is i can login only the first page , when i click on an other link the session always destroy. Why???

Hello everyone,

I have this very peculiar issue. I migrated my drupal website from one web server (A) to another (B). During the transition period, the website on B is using a temp domain name and urls.

www.server-b.com/~user/ where user is my account user name. The directory pathing is /user/www/ . So far everything is logic here.

After setting up the scripts and data, I requested the webhost to point my domain name over from A to B. After doing so, all links in my drupal website became www.mydomainname.com/~user/node/1 instead of www.mydomainname.com/node/1.

I can't find where to change this path setting. Checked that I do not have any <base> in the template files. Anyone who can shed light on this?

I am looking to merge/acquire some Drupal OS/commercial components for complete ownership to establish and rebrand the same. We are a small company ideally would like to work with independent contractors to help us beef up product portfolio. One of the quickest way is to acquire and merge. Quick question:

When I ssh to my live server, I can use wget. When working on localhost, I can't.

why can't I wget while developing on locahost?

Talk about strange!! I have never seen this happen.

I am trying to prepare two old D4 sites (built on one instance of D4) for upgrade to D6. I have created a mirror image of the site under a new domain on the same server. I copied the original database into a new database and directed the mirror site to the new database.

When I logged into the first mirror site, the login worked just fine - but not the second site. When I try to log into http://d6.sitename.net, it sends me to http://sitename.net and successfully logs in on the original site.

The second site had clean urls enabled so I manually reset the mirror to not be clean as this was causing some issues. I did this by changing the clean url variable value to 0 in the database.

I have cleared the cache in both databases. Where, in the database, could something be hard coded that says the login button should redirect to http://sitename.net?

Im running a forum with the advanced module but, i looking for something
I have 5 different topics: nokia, blackberry, sony, lg, apple... and inside each topic the users can talk about.. ok
if a user create a "new topic" inside one of the others, the icon change and mark that there is a new post.
but, if a user just reply or add something to a existing topic/post nothing happends..

I have to enter to each topic (blackberry, nokia, sony, lg, etc) to then see if there is a new reply to one of the post..

Is there a way that the icon of the topic names (Blackberry, nokia, etc) change also when someone just reply a post ??
it do it if someone create a new post, but not if someone reply one.
is there a module that do this ? change the icon with just replies ?
that way i dont have to enter each topic to see if theres something new.
