Site aliasing in Drupal 5

Hi all-

I have a Drupal 5 site which I converted to 7 but now need to alias as old.site.org. In Drupal 7 the sites.php file makes this easy but I can't remember how to do this in Drupal 5.

The site directory in the Drupal 5 installation remains site.org (not 'default') but I need old.site.org to resolve to the Drupal 5 site.

Anyone remember how this worked in Drupal 5?

Thanks!
Shaun

How to Elicit a HTTP 206 Response

Can anyone tell me how to elicit a HTTP 206 response in order to test a custom error message for when a view request hangs.

Our site (Drupal 5) has one View that works about 95% of the time, but occasionally fails and sends a 206 response, partial document instead.

While working on finding out how to prevent this View from occasionally failing, I want to set up a HTTP error page which when the View fails, the customer will get a page with a link to an archived PDF of the View.

Our credit card on file with media temple was old. They took our site down and then we gave them the new credit card info. But the site never came back. Instead we started receiving an error message.

I can access the code of the site but I have NO CLUE how to fix this.

Upgrading from version 5.10

I am receiving the following error message on my site.

: Function ereg() is deprecated in /home/firstmedica/first-medica.com/drupal-5.10/includes/file.inc on line 649.

Dreamhost says I need to upgrade Drupal. Can someone tell me what version I should choose and what are the steps to add the updated version to my site?
