What is the correct process for removing the Drupal 5 calendar module?

We successfully moved our calendar from a Drupal 5 site to a new Drupal 7 site, and we are still running the 5 site for our basic web presence.

On the Drupal 5 server the calendar module check box is grayed out, how does one turn it off, remove it etc?

Do we have to first delete any/all related Views and then will the check box come back?

Since the D5 calendar is buggy and locks up the server, we really need to get rid of it now that we have the new version running on D7.

I have uploaded a png and put it in the body text area of my home page. However, I want to click on the link and open up a mail box. If I put in the link mailto:address it just opens up a blank page. Is this just because I don't have a mail programme open such as Outlook (I use Google) or do I need to do something else to make it go to an email page?

Hi all. I havent posted in a forum like this before and am not tech savvy so please excuse me. We currently have a website running on drupal within my research centre but it is two versions behind, i believe it is currently running on drupal 5 and we need this upgrading to 7 or 8 so it will continue to be secure and hosted. I am based in the north west in the UK and am looking for someone who could upgrade this for us. Please feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions who may be able to assist

I have some advice to my specific needs, requirements on the web that i am going to build on Drupal. If a similar contribution has already been posted on this forum, I apologize, but I was unable to find it.

As a relative amateur I want to build a database for insertion and find out materials (say, something like a database and search portal, example here: http://sis.vso-praha.eu/clavius/eng/baze.htm), which will meet my requirements.

To describe the example,

I know there are a number of statistics modules, but I have a couple of sites where I have a vague memory of being about to enter the URL with something trailing that might have included the word statistics and I would get out a page which showed a number of things including the number of accesses to each node in a specific time frame. I can't now remember what the trailing string was or find any notes on this. Does this ring a bell?

We have a legacy machine running D5 and the D5 calendar which has a known bug, (fixed in later versions) that sometimes returns a 206 code (partial page). Yes we are moving to a current D7 environment, but in the meantime, I would like to automatically send the customer to a page offering for download a PDF version of the calendar when this error occurs.

I tried several ways of doing it, but the behavior I see is that apache/drupal is only sending out the 206 code and not any custom 206 message I may create, so what the user sees is simply how their browser reacts the 206 code.
