Frist, for the sake of speed I would recommend optimizing your css and jQuery, that should help a little with loading times but
Second, for consistency, make sure that all pages not just the short ones have space between main content and bottom of page.
Lastly the spacing of you images can probably be fixed if you change the view settings to grid. Or you could use imagecache to make them all one size or you can use a jQuery plugin to panel theme like Pinterest.
