Hi,

media should implement "hook_field_settings_form()" to work with field_permissions. There is a similar issue in email #1050528: Field Permissions not working. Its the same approach as in #3.

My patch is against 7.x-1.0-beta3.

I think the Field Permissions module is now fixed to not require this hack. At least it appears to work with my local testing of the dev snapshot of Field Permissions. Please re-open this issue if the bug still exists, though if it does, I'm gonna move it to the Field Permissions module, as that's where a fix is needed.
