Some how the span inside anchor tags get displayed, this happens in multiple places (for example in users notification settings page etc).

I am using drupal commons 7.x-3.2 and this seems to occurred after some new update for some module ( i am not able to find which module in specific)

Second one in User notification settings page

I guess this is some issue with pre-process function. Similar issues are reported but its somehow related to timeago library and others. This seems a different one. Any ideas how to patch this one. I was able to fix timeago problem with the help of this post http://drupal.org/node/1996706

Make sure you have the latest version of the commons_bw module and the commons_origins theme.

Currently it works fine for me with a clean install of 3.2, and a clean install of the dev code.

yep i do have latest version of both Commons Browsing Widget 7.x-3.0 and theme Commons Origins 7.x-3.2

i have tried modifying the theme_links() function in commons_origins theme and these urls does not seem to be outputted from that function.

 if (isset($link['href'])) {
          // Pass in $link as $options, they share the same keys.
           $link['html'] = TRUE;
         //$output .= l('<span id="mohesh">'. $link['title'] .'</span>', $link['href'], $link);
          $output .= l($link['title'], $link['href'], $link);
        }
        elseif (!empty($link['title'])) {
          // Some links are actually not links, but we wrap these in <span> for adding title and class attributes.
          if (empty($link['html'])) {
            $link['title'] = check_plain($link['title']);
          }
          $span_attributes = '';
          if (isset($link['attributes'])) {
            $span_attributes = drupal_attributes($link['attributes']);
          }
          $output .= '<span' . $span_attributes . '>' . $link['title'] . '</span>';
        }
        $i++;
        $output .= "</li>\n";

i have tried adding additional stuff in above lines and it does not seem to reflect so i assume these anchor tags come from somewhere else.

Please help
