Not sure if this is an OA bug, but I mention it anyway. I tried to install the dev version of 5 june twice, but I get the following errors:

Argus commentedStill happens in the 7 june dev version
Comment #2
aweizd commentedI'm experiencing the same problem, only the include_path is a bit different:
(include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear')Comment #3
mpotter commentedThis means that the panopoly_theme module isn't found in your Drupal directory. If you installed OA2 via the -dev version and the build.sh script, then it should be found in sites/all/modules/panopoly/panopoly_theme. If you download the distribution from Drupal.org then you should find it in profiles/openatrium/modules/panopoly/panopoly_theme.
Also, be sure to drop the entire database before trying to reinstall to clear out anything that might be pointing to the old directory. For example, if you first install via the Drupal.org and then download the -dev version and run the build.sh the panopoly files will move but the system table in the database will still point to the old location.
Problem is that drupal.org doesn't support the inherited profile distribution we are using in the -dev version.
Argus commentedI see. I wonder why I didn't get the error in earlier versions where I installed all on Pantheon using the upload facility pointing to the drupal.org url.
Sborsody commentedOK. I had switched from alpha5 to the dev version without clearing the db so this time I dropped all tables in the database, went through the reinstall, got the AJAX HTTP error with regards to Mailhandler, went to the error page, got redirected to the next step: Site Configuration, Verified Apps installation, on next screen got WSOD and this in the error log: [Mon Jun 17 13:39:49 2013] [error] PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/panopoly_theme.profile.inc' (include_path='.:/pear/lib:/var/www/pear/lib') in /htdocs/openatrium-7.x-2.x-dev/profiles/openatrium/openatrium.profile on line 17
For some reason drupal_get_path is not finding that module even though I see it located in profiles/openatrium/modules/panopoly/panopoly_theme. Now what?
Sborsody commentedComment #7
Sborsody commentedI hardcoded the path in openatrium.profile this time and WSOD again, at the same installation step, but later in the execution.
[Mon Jun 17 14:04:38 2013] [error] PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/panopoly_core.profile.inc' (include_path='.:/pear/lib:/var/www/pear/lib') in /htdocs/openatrium-7.x-2.x-dev/profiles/openatrium/modules/features/oa_core/oa_core.profile.inc on line 19
Comment #8
Sborsody commentedEdited line 19 of oa_core.profile.inc... Installation finished but going to the front page gives WSOD. And I gotta dig more bc there's nothing this time in the error log.
Sborsody commentedBack at this...
Still can't find an error even though PHP error reporting is E_ALL | E_STRICT. Drupal runs, but not the front page. I tried setting the default theme to Bartik. Then I went to /user and got the admin's user page. There's a message about needing to rebuild content access permissions. I try to run that but the batch doesn't really run. There's no progress bar. If I go to /admin, the admin page shows up, but the theme is messed up.
Some other stuff. On the status report page I'm seeing...
Notice: Undefined index: name in system_requirements() (line 39 of /htdocs/projects/modules/system/system.install).
Notice: Undefined index: version in system_requirements() (line 41 of /htdocs/projects/modules/system/system.install).
The content access permissions need to be rebuilt.
And
"Date iCal iCalcreator library could not be found, check the installation instructions for the Date iCal module.
The error message was: not found
The iCalcreator library could not be found."
Well, I downloaded the iCalcreator library, put it in profiles/openatrium/libraries/iCalcreator, verified that it could be found, and am now wiping the installation and re-installing.
Sborsody commentedWell, there's progression but not solution. Front page is still WSOD. When I click on /user I get different errors now.
The content access permissions need to be rebuilt. Rebuild permissions.

dsnopekI have a random question (although I'm not sure it has anything to do with anything): What PHP version are you using?
Sborsody commented5.3.14
Comment #13
Sborsody commentedI installed Panopoly as a test and everything worked ok.
I tried to do an installation by cloning the git repo and using the build.sh script. I get the AJAX HTTP error related with MailHandler, don't get any errors related to the location of panopoly_theme and panopoly_core (because they are in sites/all/modules instead of the profile directory?), but the front page still doesn't work and all those other errors I see related to rebuilding content permissions and undefined variables are still there. iCalcreator library not downloaded either.
Side note: I noticed that build.sh created a bunch of symlinks to directories outside of the webroot and even to a directory that is non-existant on my system (/opt). I had to delete those and create the actual directories. My Apache runs in a chroot jail. I don't know why the build script would be doing stuff like this rather than keeping the installation self-contained. I also had to comment out the drush verify-makefile line from build.sh because for whatever reason that command is not found even though I have 5.8 installed.
Sborsody commentedThis is the primary culprit somewhere: SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1048 Column 'rid' cannot be null
This error is caused by the openatrium profile having a status of 0 in the system table: Notice: Undefined index: name in system_requirements() (line 39 of /htdocs/projects/modules/system/system.install) I suspect that is due to the SQL constraint violation error causing the profile to never be enabled. And probably the reason the path to panopoly_theme was not being found in the profile directory was due to the profile having status 0.
As for the WSOD on the front page, it is due to this error: Notice: Undefined index: theme in panels_renderer_standard->render_layout() (line 396 of /htdocs/projects/sites/all/modules/contrib/panels/plugins/display_renderers/panels_renderer_standard.class.php). Which appears when looking at the Home panel. It cannot find the layout or the layout is bad for some reason. Again, I suspect it goes back to the SQL constraint violation.
The constraint violation occurs in the AJAX HTTP message right after it says it has rebuilt content permissions. The first glaring status report says content permissions need rebuilding yet the batch hangs and cannot be completed.
Sborsody commentedJust noticing that there are more modules with status 0 in the systems table yet are listed as dependencies in openatrium.info, like og_access.
Sborsody commentedoa_permissions and a few other modules make reference to administrator and editor roles. Where do these roles get created? I am not finding that. The only roles existing are authenticated user and anonymous user.
Sborsody commentedNew test:
Download the dev release and install on a completely different server.
Old server: OpenBSD 5.2 with Apache 1.3.29, php 5.3.14 in chroot jail
New server: Pretty vanilla CentOS 6.4 64 bit release. Apache 2.2.15, PHP 5.4.16.
Same error: SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1048 Column 'rid' cannot be null
(and Apps doesn't seem to work with PHP 5.4. Warning: Illegal string offset 'name' in apps_profile_apps_select_form() (line 101 of /var/www/html/oa/profiles/openatrium/modules/contrib/apps/apps.profile.inc).)
Raising to major priority cuz, well, who can install this distribution and on what kind of system? I'm trying to use it for a team project. I'm about to give up and install the Drupal 6 version instead.
dsnopekI'm able to install on a Debian Squeeze system hosted in Rackspace Cloud (server with 1Gb RAM).
Here are the relavant versions:
Apache - 2.2.16
PHP - 5.3.3
MySQL - 5.1.49
But if you're considering this for a real project right now - I honestly don't think OA 2.0 is ready. Things are changing so fast, and there aren't upgrade paths being created between the -alpha versions, so there is no guaranty that you'll be able to keep your data as new version come out.
However, once the real 2.0 release is made, an upgrade path will be provided from Drupal 6. So, using the Drupal 6 version for now might actually be safer. :-)
I'm not sure how far off the Phase II team sees release, but things should really start to stabilize once there are -beta and -rc releases.
I hope that helps!
chertzogi just tried to install locally on my macbook, and get the same "SQLSTATE[23000]: Integrity constraint violation: 1048 Column 'rid' cannot be null" error. How did you install it? was it via the dev release? i tried that and it didnt work.
aweizd commented@Sborsody
To get verify-makefile to work you need to put this file http://drupalcode.org/project/drupalorg_drush.git/blob/refs/heads/master... in the .drush folder in your users home directory.
woodzie commentedI'm getting the same error:

during the install. Also the WSOD on front-end pages.

socialnicheguru commentedHas the issue in #16 been addressed. Where are the roles actually created? that might be the overarching issue.
hefox commentedPlease make a new issue for aegir. My guess is aegir is not enabling modules in a correct order
Comment #39
btopro commentedI don't think this is related to aegir
guessing here but if you look in oa_permissions.install you'll see this comment:
Grant Panelizer roles that cannot be featurizedIt then grants in an oddly verbose way:
but if you search the rest of the files in this feature you'll find that it's still exporting and attempting to import these via featurization methods. There are certain ways permissions are created / delegated in D7 that the module listed as owning a permissions doesn't match what's exported. In this instance, you need to manually produce the permission and NOT export it via features. I found this solution just yesterday when I had this nagging issue in the distros I manage (bc of permissions allocated dynamically by https://drupal.org/project/regions).
Try removing these exported permissions from the feature and leave them in the install routine and I'm hoping this will work.
hefox commentedIt's running fine via install.php now, so it does some specific to however aegier installs it. there's now a new issue for that
Comment #41
dsnopekI haven't actually tested this in this particular case, but I just wanted to point out that install.php will run to completion even if errors occur during installation. However, Aegir will refuse to move forward if there are any errors at all! This difference has come up many times as I've been testing OpenAtrium 2.0, because I also use Aegir.
drupa11y commentedDon´t know if these problems are related, but in my case (Installation fails with "Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[HY000]") was 1 number in the mySQL-Config !!!
To fix it, change the max_allowed_packet value in your my.cnf file (that's your MySQL configuration file) to 20:
