Handle entity translations for taxonomy term reference fields

I'm using chosen with a free-tagging field that in turn uses entity translation.
Expected behaviour on, for example, a Spanish node form for me would be that the suggestions are in Spanish.
Current behaviour seems to be that it shows only the English values from the referenced taxonomy.
