This is an enhanced autocomplete element, that uses the jQuery UI autocomplete. It will also implement a widget for taxonomy.

New terms are only added when Allow new terms is ticked in the widget settings, and the field allows it. Otherwise editors can only pick from existing terms. Suggestions are fetched as you type, so large vocabularies stay fast.

Drupal 7 version
The Drupal 7 version of the Autocomplete Deluxe module is not supported on drupal.org anymore. The D7Security group has taken over maintainership on Gitlab. Follow the D7Security user guide to continue receiving security update notifications for the Autocomplete Deluxe module.
