I have a new module in a sandbox. I would like to go through the procedure to release it.
The sandbox page is: https://drupal.org/sandbox/fatkinson/2137861
Can you help me with this?

Title: Sandbox Upgarde - Ham Domains - Project Application » [D7] Ham Domains
Category: Support request » Task

Sure thing, we have lots of docs available here: https://drupal.org/node/1011698. Looks like you've already done steps 1 and 2. Set this issue to "needs review" when you're done with step 5, and the reviews will start coming in :)

Well, I'm reading that page. And I'm a little lost and feeling overwhelmed.
I'm Looking at the 'Project Application Checklist' page.
I think my sandbox page qualifies as the project page under 1.1.
What does it mean by 'repository' under 1.1? I've already uploaded the .zip and .gz files to my sandbox page.

Well, first thing to do is step 1. I had wrongly assumed you had done that already, sorry! You can ignore the checklist for now, the first thing to do is get used to using Git.

This is a good introduction to git: http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2009/03/intro-to-git-for-web-designers/

All your code needs to be committed to your git repository. That's steps 1 and 2 from https://drupal.org/node/1011698.

Setting to "needs work" for that, please set this back to "needs review" once you are ready.

I am not getting off to much of a start.
I have always been a one man show with my PHP scripting.
This is a whole new ball game for me.
Are there any videos taking me through how to install Git? To use Git?

With a little help from my hosting company, I managed to get drush working on my Web site. I guess getting 'git' installed is the next step.

I discovered that git is already installed on my Web site.
I have the two tools needed to proceed.
I'll try to follow those instructions.
Do you have any suggestions that might help?
I already have a sandbox for it.

I was following the instructions at this URL: https://drupal.org/node/711070#adding-repo
When I got to step 5, the first two commands executed just fine.
The third command 'git push hamdomains master' gave me the following error:
ssh: connect to host git.drupal.org port 22: Connection refused
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
Just when I thought I had the repository done.
Can you tell me what is wrong?

With the help of someone with Drupal experience here in town, I think I got the module 'hamdomains' successfully submitted.
I put the files in the repository and I submitted the issue.

Multiple Applications
It appears that there have been multiple project applications opened under your username:

Project 1: https://drupal.org/node/2143623

Project 2: https://drupal.org/node/2184079

As successful completion of the project application process results in the applicant being granted the 'Create Full Projects' permission, there is no need to take multiple applications through the process. Once the first application has been successfully approved, then the applicant can promote other projects without review. Because of this, posting multiple applications is not necessary, and results in additional workload for reviewers ... which in turn results in longer wait times for everyone in the queue. With this in mind, your secondary applications have been marked as 'closed(duplicate)', with only one application left open (chosen at random).

If you prefer that we proceed through this review process with a different application than the one which was left open, then feel free to close the 'open' application as a duplicate, and re-open one of the project applications which had been closed.

I'm a robot and this is an automated message from Project Applications Scraper.
