I set up Media Colorbox, played around with it by creating some fields, and got it working. Thanks for the great module.
So here's my question: Is it possible to trigger Colorbox in Wysiwyg using the "Media browser" button? As per attachments, I chose the "Colorbox" option, but the result is just an embedded image no matter what I do.
Here is my setup: Colorbox (7.x-2.5), IMCE (7.x-1.7), IMCE Wysiwyg API bridge (7.x-1.0), Media (7.x-2.0-alpha3), Media Colorbox (7.x-1.0-rc4), Media WYSIWYG View Mode (7.x-2.0-alpha3) & Wysiwyg (7.x-2.2)
Thanks for any help.
P.S. After looking through the issue queue, I took advice from someone mentioning that I would have to completely uninstall the current version before using other versions of this module. So far I tried versions 7.x-1.0-rc3, 7.x-1.0-rc4 as well as 7.x-1.x-dev to no avail.

Media added built in Colorbox support recently. I believe that drop down is not the Media Colorbox formatter but the Colorbox formatter. So, you're trying to use the Colorbox module with the Media button and not the Media Colorbox module.
I know. It's confusing. And,as you've probably noticed, it doesn't work so well.

You should put your post there for lack of a better place. I believe the implementation of Colorbox support within media was a happy accident. Hopefully the media or Colorbox team takes up the task because the new interface options that don't work are now quite confusing.

And to make this issue even more confusing, I found the actual option checkbox that enables/disables the "Colorbox" option: It's in the configuration settings of the Media WYSIWYG View Mode module, included as part of the Media module (screenshot attached).
P.S. The checkbox is counterintuitive: Checking it restricts Colorbox and disables it (and makes it disappear from the dropdown menu). Unchecking it enables it again.
