This is a (hopefully temporary) bug of the flickr.photos.search method. It has been reported at https://www.flickr.com/groups/api/discuss/72157645030438164/#. It does not depend on the module's code.

The workaround is to set the filter to 'relevant' or 'interesting' and it will work normal but maybe with a different order.

Replicating it at https://www.flickr.com/services/api/explore/flickr.photos.search it nows seems solved.

Do not sign call.

NOTE: This is solved on the Flickr API side. Nothing in the module's code has been modified, thus the Closed (works as designed) status.
