Create a node with the language set to "language neutral", and set an initial custom value on some meta tags. The meta tags will display correctly. Edit the node, modify the values & save it, the node will still show the old values, i.e. the record won't have been updated correctly.

DamienMcKennaNote: this does not appear to be a problem on entities that do not support translations, it seems to be limited to nodes.

DamienMcKennaI did a little further testing, this may only affect content types that have multiple languages available and not ones that do not support translation.
