15 tests failing on Windows

A good portion of these fails are due to exceptions from the failure to delete files at the end of the test. This patch fixes that, not sure how acceptable the code is though, it's kind of kludgy. May I suggest that we break any remaining issues out into several issues instead of one giant issue?

Actually, that was fixed with http://drupal.org/node/443286, heh. So a lot of those tests now pass on HEAD. Updated results would be nice, then we can split out into multiple issues, leaving this here to track them.

For the path test we get an 403 when requesting on windows apache

This alias contains windows character not allowed within file system names \/:*?"<>|
- the ? / are handled nicely by apache

  HTTP file retrieval 1 pass, 6 fails, and 0 exceptions

This fails in drupal_http_request. When requesting a "localhost" URL stream_socket_client will time out when attempting to retrieve the file (with error number 10060). This works instead when the base URL is 127.0.0.1.

  Upload user picture 70 passes, 6 fails, and 10 exceptions

I couldn't reproduce this on Windows 7, Apache and PHP 5.2.9.

  76 passes, 0 fails, 0 exceptions, and 19 debug messages

  Session https handling 59 passes, 5 fails, and 0 exceptions

All tests on my machine passed with this. Windows 7, Apache, PHP 5.2.9.
Output from tests:

  68 passes, 0 fails, 0 exceptions, and 20 debug messages

Perhaps HTTPS wasn't enabled on the orgininal test system?

We checked out the OpenID failures as well. It looks like it's related to the failure in #9. Chaning localhost to 127.0.0.1 causes the failining tests to pass.

Microsoft provide a VM which unfortunately failed to run the test suite due to not having a Clean URL setup. See http://drupal.org/node/3854 at least we thought. But it was a views test file not finding it's test class.

This machine meets the oral configuration setup "Win 7 / IIS / PHP 5.3"

We definitely need specs for how to test.

I got the VM Drupal site running the test suite. But there was an error regarding "Unlink" and "rmdir"

When cleaning up the test. Not sure whether this is an old issue. Not sure how to update drupal easy.

Installing drush and run it gives

Remember we are running MS SQL Server on this VM

Installing http://getgnuwin32.sourceforge.net/ now to get wget, curl etc in place.

[edit] The process for updating drupal seems quite arcane. I failed to do so. I wrecked the installed drupal site on the VM :(

I'm pretty sure we have a dedicated issue for those failing File API tests on Windows in the queue.

Aside from that, failing tests on a certain platform may be annoying but not major.
