Archibald is a tool for cataloging digital content used for teaching and learning. Its primary function is to describe a learning resource in its educational context, its conditions of use and its access. This description (meta-data) can then be uploaded to a central repository known as the "Swiss Digital National Catalogue".

The structure of the description and the taxonomies are based on the Learning Object Metadata standard (LOM), specifically, the Swiss variant (LOM-CH).

Looking for the portal functionality?

If you want to display content from the catalogue on your own site, then you are looking for the dsb Portal module.
