A small module that allows users to authenticate with a Belgian eID card, using Fedict's Federal Authentication Service (FAS) and Apache mod_auth_mellon.
Limitations
At the moment, it tightly coupled with FAS and OpenFed distribution.
Requirements
- Apache Mod Auth Mellon module (part of e.g. Debian or RHEL package collection)
- Access to Fedict's FAS server (requires following an intake procedure and signing an agreement + creation of a key)
- On the client/browser side: an eID reader + a Belgian eID card
Other smart cards / IDPs may - at least in theory - work, but are beyond the scope of this module and not supported.
