This looks a bit funky. Happening in Spark on the home page when editing the node title in a panel pane:

Contextual gear showing even when inline editing

Title: Contextual links poking out in when inline editing » Contextual links poking out when inline editing

Don't need two prepositions, webchick.

Contextual links don't have a proper detach behavior. Sad panda will have to make it.

Is this a contextual link within the node title form? That sounds imposible.

I bet it's a contextual from the underlying page. Fixable in CSS, with z-indexes.

As I said in #3, fixable with z-indexes. We've got much bigger problems to solve first though.

If I install http://simplytest.me/project/spark/7.x-1.x, then try to reproduce it, I can't.

Untagging from sprint because the solution to this problem will change once #1879828: Per-entity "Quick edit" link — i.e.: the same interaction as the D8 version lands.
