Provides a formatter to use that allows users to download file and image entities directly.
Also includes a separate module to count downloads and display results in a View. Modeled off the statistics module which counts content views, this counts downloads using the File Download formatter.
Configuration
Apply formatter to the display form of any file or image field
Apply settings for link title, currently you can choose filename, entity title (if it exists), file description or nothing
New: user, file and entity tokens can now be used in the custom title field.
Similar Modules
File Download Link module provides a field formatter plugin for rendering File fields or Image fields as configurable download links. You can configure the link text, whether or not it opens the file in a new window, and whether or not to try to force download with the html5 download attribute. It also adds some helpful classes to the link in case you want to style different types of files in different ways.
