File ban module allows site administrators to ban (and unban) particular files from being uploaded by users. The file ban list consists of SHA-256 hashes which are used to uniquely identify files.
When a file is added to the ban list, it is copied to a new file object in the private file system for archival purposes (e.g. determining which files have been banned).
Views Bulk Operations module is required to provide the file management user interface.
