When you click the "More information about text formats" link, you don't expect to see the node form disappear. And you certainly don't expect to lose your work. Unfortunately on some browsers that's just what happens. This module solves the problem in Drupal 7 by moving the filter tips page into a modal dialog, while we work on the same issue for Drupal 8.
