This module simplifies the process of setting a preferred URL and is designed for users who wish to enforce SSL and/or a specific domain without having to edit any files. It operates on a "set it and forget it" basis.
Users can choose to enable mixed mode, which permits both HTTP and HTTPS, or to require HTTPS exclusively. They may also choose to redirect users to their preferred domain, either with or without the WWW subdomain (prefix). These changes do not require any code modifications.
The module is not domain-specific, meaning that the same configuration settings can be applied to multiple domains or instances.
The redirect uses a "301 Moved Permanently" HTTP response status code.
Important note
If you choose to enable HTTPS redirection, this module requires a pre-configured SSL certificate setup in order for HTTPS to work properly.
