donquixote commentedLooking good!
Regarding #1392438: file_managed or not?
It appears that, with this module, I can safely delete content, without the associated files being deleted.
I also tried what happens if I delete a file from the server (via ssh).
The database did not clean up, the file was still there.
I am not sure what is the desirable behavior. I think I don't want anything to be deleted, unless I explicitly request it. Who knows, maybe the files are just not accessible for the moment, but easy to restore.
Maybe a drush command to clean up orphan files? Anyway, doesn't have to be part of this module.
Something I miss (a bit):
The possibility to totally disallow the old-way file upload.
For my particular use case, I want people to always see the folder where a file is sitting in, so I always want them to go with IMCE.
Solution would be a new widget for that kind of thing.

spamator12 commentedI think that there should be DEV version to download, so more ppl would give it a try and test this module.

batigol commentedWhen can we expect release/dev version of this module ?

batigol commentedGreat news ! But I can't download it :P
EDIT: Oh, after click in View all releases it's available to download.
EDIT2: Now you can download it as every other drupal module.

dimitriseng commentedHi, I have tested the dev version and it looks to be working as expected, thank you! I will report back any issues.
As per #3, I am not sure what should be the behaviour when files are deleted manually from the server, as the are not deleted from the database.

donquixote commentedufku, could you create a -beta1 or -alpha1 or -unstable1 release?
This would make it easier to compare with older versions etc.

BioALIEN commentedI have been using the Drupal 6.x version of this module and given that close to 2000 people have downloaded and tried the module, I am convinced that this module should now reach Beta if not Final release!
Well done ufku :)
