Hello,
I just upgraded media from unstable 6 to unstable 7. Now, when I go to insert an image, if I click on 'Library', I get a dialog box with the error 'Error getting media'. If I try to upload a new image, as soon as I click on submit after choosing the image, the dialog box goes away, but there's still the opaque overlay on the edit page.
I've tried uninstalling the module and re-installing it, but that didn't help at all.
Any ideas what I may have done wrong?

Archiving2012 CreditAttribution: Archiving2012 commentedHi --
I'm a student, and a total newbie to Drupal. I installed Drupal 7.17 through Arvixe, the webhosting server. We don't see anything like coding or even folders -- it's all web-based, and we just get an interface with Content, Structure, etc. We are having the same issue with Error getting media. We've tried as much as we can with our limited knowledge, but not even reading the forums helps because all of the solutions people come up with have to do with coding, and we don't have access to coding ...
So I was wondering, if you could be so kind as to outline the steps from going from "unstable" to "dev"? How would we know if we have "unstable" or "dev"?
Thanks for your help.

You can check the version of your modules on [www.mysitename.com/]admin/modules. If you don't have admin access to your site there is in general not that much you can do but you can always check the module's info file to see what version you have. The contrib modules should be located on your server at xxx/sites/all/modules.
If you want to upgrade a module have a read here: http://drupal.org/documentation/modules/update
