Themes allow you to change the look and feel of your Drupal site. You can use themes contributed by others or create your own to share with the community. Contributed themes are not part of any official release and may not have optimized code/functionality for your purposes.
You can also create a sub-theme of an existing theme. A sub-theme inherits a parent theme's resources. Read more about Sub-theme structure and inheritance.
You can also view a full index of themes listing only their titles.
Antonelli is a fluid width subtheme for Bartik, the default core theme for Drupal 7. By default Bartik is fixed width - Antonelli changes the layout to fluid (percentage based) with fixed width sidebars.
Antonelli does not change any styles in Bartik - it only changes the layout from fixed to fluid.
Alpine is a GPL v3 Wordpress theme by the same name that I converted to Drupal 6 originally. Since Drupal 7 has been released, I have also updated Alpine for Drupal 7.
I have already added some extra regions and plan to add more in later versions. There is also a 100% CSS Only Primary Links menu dropdowns for Drupal 6 and Main Menu drop downs for Drupal 7. Alpine features some great default images and styles, but can be easily modified with your own images. It is great for a nature blog, hiking blog, and generally any other outdoors or nature related website.

Tweme (= Twitter Bootstrap theme) is a super lightweight integration of Twitter Bootstrap in the Drupal CMS with several UX enhancements. It delivers all the power of the amazing web framework directly to your Drupal site and ready to use right out of the box.
"OM" (AUM) - the source of everything. If you're looking for a simple, lightweight and with only the bare functionalities needed for your complex designs, OM base theme is for you. It's a professional base theme for a professional themer.
OM Base Theme helps reduce your custom theming work, making it easier and less time needed to develop a highly customized theme, unlike other base themes (with so many files and theme settings which can only be a huge baggage to carry later on), OM Base Theme has optimized codes to a minimum. As a result, you can easily migrate any existing web design templates to drupal since there's not much css overriding on a very simple base theme.
No complex css overriding, its core CSS is reduced to minimum.
Simplifies page.tpl.php structure, variables are grouped by default (a form of abstraction for common layouts), which made the layout more obvious. With this, it's easier to see how to make the wrapper and region divs and other elements in the layout.
And with its version 2, you can automate this process by using OM Subthemer.
Optional 12-column, 16-column and 24-column grid guides using 960 Grid System standards.

Sasson is a powerful tool-kit intended for advanced drupal theming, aiming at bringing the fun back to theming.
It is a set of advanced tools combined together in a modular structure, everything is optional and we keep it so that what you don't use won't leave any trace in your output code.

Responsive - It's mobile friendly - with responsive, content-first layout, out of the box. optional mobile-first responsive layout, media queries break-points are configurable.
HTML5 - It converts the core template files to HTML5 markup - <header>, <footer>, <article> for nodes, <section> for blocks, <aside> for sidebars, <nav> for menus etc.(thanks Boron)
Fluid grid - It includes a perfectly semantic grid system - no more non-semantic grid classes (based on 960gs via Compass).
CSS Reset/Normalize - It includes both normalize.css and reset.css for you to choose between, including an HTML5-friendly CSS Reset, cross-browser styling compatibility improvements and other tweaks & best practices from HTML5Boilerplate v3.0.2
