This module is for people who use Pushtape Music, but want to have the import features of the Discogs project. The module is a Discography Entity Adapter for the Pushtape Discography module. It acts as a bridge between the Discogs 7.x framework, and the Pushtape Music distribution.

Discogs 7.x provides a modular framework for importing discography information from third-party API's (including, but not limited to, the Discogs.com API). For more information, visit the Discogs project page:
https://drupal.org/project/discogs

The Pushtape Music distribution provides a discography framework, show listings, photo gallery, and a news blog, all wrapped up in a responsive mobile friendly theme. It is built to work out of the box as a single band website, but provides a leg up in building any type of music site. For more information, visit the Pushtape Music project page:
https://drupal.org/project/pushtape

Requirements:

  • Drupal 7.x
  • Discogs 7.x
  • Pushtape Discography 7.x

Installation and usage:

  1. Download and install the Pushtape distribution, if you haven't already.
  2. Download the 7.x version of Discogs. You must install and activate these modules:
    • Discography Mediator
    • Discogs.com Adapter

Note: The Discogs project comes with several other modules. You do not need to install or activate those. They are for sites that need Discography content types, and these are already provided by Pushtape Music.

  3. Download, install, and activate this module. It will show up under the Discography category, as "Pushtape Discography Adapter."
  4. Go to the Permissions page, and set the "Import from discography providers" permission.
  5. Import discography information as if you were creating any other form of content, by clicking on the "+Add" menu item.
  6. Have fun!
