There should be a way to pull content types into the banner once they are published...or if you could pre-produce several banners and have them staged and scheduled to update. This would keep the front banner fresh and up to date in a none intrusive way so that it's one less thing you have to update on a daily or weekly basis.
Another idea is to have the banner pull the most commented or viewed content type and display/link it to isn't node.
One last thing...I noticed that this module is still alpha and we released in spring of 2010...what's up with that? With that said I truly appreciate the development of the module.

Out of all the banner modules, this one has it right...I would have to see it die.

ksenzeeWe're not dead yet! It's just a question of resources. Patches are warmly welcomed, and we'll add other bugfixes and small features as time permits.
