This module displays a simple message on the top of all pages on your site which can be used as a notification or warning. It was completely inspired by the Drupal.org downtime message displayed in October 2013 before the update of Drupal.org from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7.
Features
- Highlight important information at the top of each page so users have no excuse to claim they have not seen your awesome message!
- Add an optional link to display more information
- Show on all pages of the site including Admin areas
- HTML template so themers can't complain
- Submodules included to enhance the features of this module including scheduling messages, changing the colour/status type, and external links for the more information page (D7 only currently)
Requirements
The Drupal 7 version will work on any Drupal 7 site, with minimal configuration needed.
The Drupal 8 version is still a release candidate and not fully tested yet.
The Drupal 9/10 version is a completely new rewrite and is ready for testing. (Feb 2023)
