Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Since Drupal.org uses this, we need it in order to port Drupal.org to D7.

jaydub CreditAttribution: jaydub commentedI had also created a sandbox independent of @dereine. We communicated and will try to consolidate the two efforts (at the moment I've had to return to my regular job). http://drupal.org/project/1286920/git-instructions

Steven Jones CreditAttribution: Steven Jones commentedI have had zero time to maintain this module, but will look at finding sometime to review what you've done.

webchickFidelix, language please. Regardless of the reason, it's not ok to talk to others in the community that way. Least of all because of a usability problem.
Fidelix CreditAttribution: Fidelix commentedLanguage? Jesus Christ, sorry!
webchick"..."
Seriously? Do I really need to quote http://drupal.org/dcoc at you? Come on, now.
Fidelix CreditAttribution: Fidelix commentedSorry again, but I didn't know saying
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus
was bad language on the USA.

TribalMan CreditAttribution: TribalMan commentedblasphemy is offensive everywhere
Comment #31
mstrelan CreditAttribution: mstrelan commentedWhat does the USA have to do with this? Drupal is global.

Steven Jones CreditAttribution: Steven Jones commentedHey! Please be nice to each other in my issue queue! Let's end it there, it's fine if people still want to 'subscribe', we've been ignoring those posts for years now anyway right?
Steven Jones CreditAttribution: Steven Jones commentedWhat's the progress with the two ports? Where should I be looking to review working code?
Steven Merrill CreditAttribution: Steven Merrill commentedHey Steven,
I've started taking up this port.
I've at least restored the CTools plugin functionality to a working state in http://drupal.org/node/1330806#comment-5198888 (against @dereine's sandbox.)
It still definitely needs more work - I'll post another update in a few days.
jaydub CreditAttribution: jaydub commentedI've been out of town for the last couple of weeks so I've not had a chance to check in on my sandbox either. @Steven Merrill if you want to coordinate let me know as my sandbox had the plugin stuff working too. just haven't had spare cycles to follow up.
Steven Merrill CreditAttribution: Steven Merrill commentedI got a chance to incorporate pretty much all of jaydub's changes from his sandbox as well as fix some other non-DBTNG remnants to the point that the module now caches (and doesn't generate a new MD5 hash for the cache on every page load.)
More info and the patch is here: http://drupal.org/node/1330806#comment-5243124. (I've also been pushing work on this to GitHub and can open up my own sandbox if it's desireable.)
jaydub CreditAttribution: jaydub commentedthat's great, I wasn't really able to get back to this in a timely manner. Hopefully I can find some time to help test if nothing else.
johnvFor my D7-site, I have considered this patch and Cache actions.
If you don't mind the dependency on Rules, Cache actions works very fine .
Steven Jones CreditAttribution: Steven Jones commentedRight, I'm closing this issue down. Tests are passing now, and we'll handle more things in new issues.
Steven Jones CreditAttribution: Steven Jones commentedThanks for all the work though people!
andypostplease point to a actual git repo, and how far this module from beta release?
http://drupal.org/sandbox/dereine/1295872 is this working one?
Steven Jones CreditAttribution: Steven Jones commentedDetails of the git repo can be found here: http://drupal.org/project/views_content_cache/git-instructions
I hope to have a working beta by the end of this week.
