The Whatsapp Formatter module provides a field formatter, for the telephone field type in Drupal Core, that displays the telephone number as a link to send a message on Whatsapp.
Post-Installation
To use the formatter, simply:
1. Add a Telephone field type to an entity.
2. Go to Manage Display for that entity.
3. On the field formatter for the previously added field, select "Whatsapp Number" from the dropdown.
4. Configure the options as you would other telephone number fields.
