Current state of workbench branches

There seems to be a disconnect to adding needed patches to the current D7 branch. Workbench does not have a tagged dev version and a clutter of older modules that have not been updated for years including the current version that has not been updated since the 2013!

A lot of users probably don't know how to patch in command line and we don't have time to go through and apply individually the patches needed.

When are the maintainers going to update the D7 version for passed patches and tag a 7.x-1.x-dev branch for people to download?
