Workbench Menu

An alternative menu system that co-exists alongside drupal cores menu system.

This module is an extension onto the workbench_access module, but is written by a different developer.

This menu system provides the following functionality:

• Menus can still be shown for all sub-paths, including "page not found" urls.
• Supports multiple types of menu items, such as labels, files, and other menus.
• Only parts of the menu cache is rebuilt on changes, instead of rebuilding the entire menu cache.
• Dynamic detection of active-path and active-trails.
• Uses workbench access taxonomies to provide menu editing access control.
• Controlling the expand/collapse behavior of individual menu items and menus.
• Dynamic updating appropriate menus when content changes, using the rules module and node ids.
• Integration with IMCE to add files to a menu.
• Support for hidden menus.
• Manual overriding of active paths.
• Automatic building of breadcrumb paths based on active paths and menu structure.
