I've activated comments on my site. Every component of the comment shows up and works correctly (i.e. comment submission, username, edit buttons, etc.), except for the comment itself. I can edit the comment just fine and the comment shows up in the admin section.

The comment also shows up when I switch themes. I suspect this is a comment.tpl issue? I am using a sub theme, but switching to an untouched version of base Zen-5.5 produces the same results. Everything but the comment made is visible.

Never mind. It was a PEBKAC. Under "Comment Display" in the content type, the format for "Comment" was set to "Hidden". How this was changing when I switched to another theme, I'm not sure. Nonetheless, switching the format from "Hidden" to "Default" made the contents of the comments magically start appearing.

I suspect this is tied to the fact that comments were closed when the comment type was originally created.

In any case, can't delete this post or mark it as solved, so I have to let me ineptness just sit before everyone in the open until the issue is marked closed, my apologies.

wwwprola++ no apologies needed, i have had many moments the same.

You can edit the issue using the edit link at the top of this issue, there you can change quite a few things, including the status of the ticket.
