Salsa Digital is a digital agency focused on open source for social good and innovation. We’re committed to the open source movement and to the communities that form such an integral part of that movement. We’re actively involved in both the Drupal and GovCMS communities at different levels, such as contributing back code and hosting Drupal meetups. For the past year or so, we’ve been actively trying to make the Drupal Melbourne meetup a regular event. Our doors are always open for hosting a meetup - and we even offer food and drinks!
We are also committed to the open government movement and to the many benefits this ethos provides. Open CMS, open data, open platform and open design are four key pillars that enable an open government to lower the barrier for better digital services to citizens.
We contribute and deliver services in all these areas, with a strong involvement in specific open source initiatives such as Drupal, GovCMS, Single Digital Presence, Lagoon and CKAN.
All engagements are bound by our five core strengths and service pillars: strategy, design, engineering, training and support. These five areas of expertise guide our corporate and government clients through all stages of any digital delivery.

Drupal contributions
Salsa is committed to open source and contributes regularly to the Drupal project in many ways including coding, reviewing, testing, organising, speaking, marketing, and mentoring. We have contributed to hundreds of Drupal issues and are actively involved in several strategic and community initiatives including Bug Smash, Contribution Events, Core Mentoring, Drupal 10 Readiness, and Olivero Theme. Salsa has a 20% Giveback Policy to encourage clients to give back to open source and we provide our staff with regular contribution opportunities.
