Experimental project

This is a sandbox project, which contains experimental code for developer use only.

This module aims to provide an integration with the ORCID repository, using the Public API.

This integration requires the Entity API.

It is my opinion that the Public API is suitable for a first pass of an integration due to the fact that it is retrieves less data and that authentication is not required. This is essentially an integration that pulls in the public ORCID data for integration into a website that requires little, if any, authorization to access. These are typically public-facing websites or internal websites that are open to your entire organization.

Private API support is TBD but it is a design goal to allow for this possibility - that is, care is to be taken to ensure that support for the Private API is not difficult to add in after Public API support is released.
